Alex Terry is a dynamic, hard-hitting, young drummer from Morristown, Tennessee and currently performs locally.
Alex found his love for drumming and percussion at a young age. Roger Taylor of Queen inspired this love for the drums. He also draws inspiration from the great drummers Max Weinberg, Stewart Copeland and Todd Sucherman.
Rock and Roll from any era is Alex’s favorite, but he remains a classic rock drummer at heart. He also enjoys country, pop, praise and worship music.
Alex has learned from some of the best. He has spent considerable time working with both Steve Ebe (The Chicks, Little River Band, Nashville studio drummer) and Rod Morgenstein (Winger, Dixie Dregs, Berklee College of Music).
Even at Alex’s young age, he doesn't lack live experience. He has regularly performed live stage events since 2021. Alex began performing with School of Rock Knoxville as a House Band member and the band Silverstone, formed with friends from SOR. Alex has been fortunate to play fantastic venues including The Caverns, Bonnaroo and The Historic Bijou Theatre. He has had the opportunity to open for Groups like Little Texas and Shenandoah.
Alex uses multiple drum kits and cymbals based on the event. He regularly plays his DW kit as well as his Ludwig and Tama kit, along with Zildjian and Paiste cymbals and Vic Firth sticks.
You can catch Alex playing most Sundays with his church praise band.
Alex is experienced in creating original grooves for new songs.
He is open to new projects and opportunities to work with other artists!
